Today, we chat with Hannah Coffin, the visionary behind Needle & Thread, to discuss everything from childhood inspirations to her top tips for balancing work and family life. This conversation comes at an exciting time, as the brand has just launched its first-ever Babywear collection for Spring-Summer 2025.
Needle and Thread’s founder and CEO, Hannah Coffin, told The Telegraph that she was “delighted” to see Lady Starmer wearing her designs. “She looked beautiful and elegant in our Heart Lattice gown at Buckingham Palace and in our Lace Knit gown on her first foreign trip as ‘first lady’,” she said. “It’s fantastic to see her wearing female-founded, independent British brands to represent British style on these occasions and we are honoured she chose to wear us.

The ‘Alina Sequin Ankle Length’ gown takes inspiration from the 1940s and features scallop sequin detailing, a demure neckline, long sleeves and a voluminous tulle skirt hem.
Coolidge’s emerald gown featured a scoop neckline and was adorned all over in dainty, delicate sequins. The skirt of her gown had slight pleats and under layers of tulle. Her sleeves were unlined, which had a sheer-like affect.
