Introducing “Catch a Falling Star” — our new glittering Christmas collection encapsulating the mood of the Ziegfeld Follies: a group of decadent showgirls from the early 1900’s through to the 1940’s.

Inspired by the dancers’ theatrical costumes, intricate celestial embellishments create enchanting statement styles. These feature sparkling shooting stars and constellations for ultimate cosmic elegance. Feathers are a key motif, embellished in golden sequins on champagne tulle, or as a luxe lurex woven print. For a striking party look, we introduce cascading ombré styles in glittering pink gradients for maximum impact.

Our new partywear silhouette, Nova, is reminiscent of vintage Hollywood glamour with an expertly draped off-shoulder neckline — as is the elegant simplicity of our new strapless fishtail designs. Meanwhile, Elia is a new dramatic, layered tulle style for the romantics at heart. The collection’s hero floral is Midnight Dance — a decadent print featuring luxurious blooms taken from an archival hand-painted artwork from the early 1900’s.

New to the separates offering is a sequin leotard and sheer tulle maxi-skirt set, a modern take on a glittering ballerina’s tutu, whilst elegant cover ups include matching capes and bejewelled knitwear. This season features a truly sophisticated colour palette for an elevated festive wardrobe — think rose gold, dusk beige, amethyst, midnight blue, gunmetal, graphite and vermillion red.

As part of Needle & Thread’s enduring commitment to sustainability, 75% of this collection is made from sustainable materials, including 100% recycled sequins. The Christmas collection is available from October 2024, in sizing from UK4 to UK24, with pricing ranging from £225 to £775.
